  • Funding of up to £18,000 to cover the strategy, design, build, content strategy, training, QA and launch of a new mobile optimised website, with sophisticated marketing, fundraising, appeals, social media, e-commerce and website management tools
  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis
  • The grant covers 100% of the website design and build costs with our current grant partner. Your organisation will need to cover ongoing costs for a minimum of a 12 month commitment

Application process

  • Before applying: Please check our eligibility criteria for the grant and please read our FAQs and Why Applications Fail. We also provide a regular webinar hosted by our Chief Executive to help organisations decide whether or not the grant opportunity is right for them, which you are encouraged to attend after reading our website
  • Stage 1: a simple online form to check you fit our eligibility criteria and that you have clear, measurable plan for deploying the funding to generate income or impact. We expect this to take no more than 15minutes for organisations to complete. This will be assessed by our Chief Executive. We endeavour to respond to each application within 1 month of applying, and will provide brief reasons if you are unsuccessful
  • Stage 2: a detailed online meeting with a technology consultant from our grant partner to assess the impact a new site could create and to review the technical fit. You will be provided with full documentation re-capping all details of the programme for your review.
  • Agreeing the contract: if you are successful we will send you the paperwork to review. There is no obligation to accept the grant if you are successful in the application. Your charity must make the ultimate decision on whether or not this is right for them.

Should you apply

  • We are seeking to support organisations that are looking to use their website as a marketing platform in order to achieve their charitable objectives, whether they be raising funds, recruiting volunteers, carrying out online petitions or reaching beneficiaries. Therefore, we do not fund organisations who simply want a basic brochure-style website or who have no defined measures of success
  • We look to support organisations that are committed to making best use of their new website e.g. through updating content frequently. Therefore, we suggest you only apply if you can commit to someone in your organisation spending at least 2 hours a week managing the website

Partners

  • We have selected Raising IT as our current partner for this programme. Raising IT has raised millions of pounds for over 400 clients.
  • What does the process of working with our website grant partner, Raising IT, look like?

You’ll work with a committed team of leading charity focused digital marketers, developers and designers to build an amazing web presence.

STEP 1 You’ll get in-depth workshops with the Raising IT team to define your website strategy and organisation needs. You’ll define the strategic needs and key goals for your new website.

STEP 2 You’ll work closely with Raising IT designers and developers to bring your website to life. They’ll help you launch it successfully - and help you think through how to engage supporters and volunteers.

STEP 3 Post launch, they’ll help you understand your impact online through a focus on measurement.

Review of impact

We regularly review the impact of our funding and our work with current partners.

Websites funded by the programme have already raised millions of pounds for charities who successfully applied.

We have have conducted several case studies and now built a real time report showing total income increased from our successfully funded projects.

Stage 1 takes less than 15 minutes
